While parking is a concern to a minority, it is essential to the ability of many students to attend college. With the projected increase in the number of Post-Graduate and Mature Students in UCC particularly, the demand for parking will become ever fiercer. They are never going to knock down the Quad for car parking spaces. Park and Ride system is currently the most effective way to deal with parking in UCC.

I plan to:

• The hours of the park and Ride system need to be extended.
• Look into access to Park and Ride for many parts of the city such as the north side is inadequate or non-existent
• Ensure that no actions which would affect UCC students’ existing rights to park are adversely affected without consultation, as happened has happened previously
